　当施設は、本宅が文政７年（1824年）に建てられ、又「離れ座敷」は大正３年（1914年）に増築された歴史ある奈良の古民家です。

　寝室としてお使いいただく奥座敷は、書院造りの構造で、大正時代の名工の技を垣間見ることができます。前栽（中庭）には飛鳥石の手水鉢の他、佐渡の赤石などが散在し、杉苔やハイゴケなどが静かに地面を覆っています。又、松、梅、南天、柊木、万両など木々が庭を美しく飾っています。

裏山の木々に囲まれ鳥の声も爽やかに響く癒しの空間をどうぞごゆっくりご堪能下さいませ。

Welcome to Kominka Katsuemon

This is a historic Nara old folk house, where the main house was built in 1824 (Bunsei 7), and this "Hanare (detached room)" was expanded in 1914 (Taisho 3).

The next room called “Okuzasiki”, which can be used as a bedroom, has a shoin-zukuri style and you can get a glimpse of the skills of master craftsmen in the Taisho era.  In the front garden (courtyard), there is a hand basin made of the Asuka stone and also red stones from Sado are scattered .   The ground is covered with “Sugigoke (cedar moss)” and “Haigoke(Hypnum plumaeforme Wilson)” with peace and silence.

In addition, trees such as pine, plum, holly tree and so on, decorate the garden beautifully.
